Franks Pimento Cheese
Franks Pimento Cheese
Woofie McClary, Owner of Franks Restaurant, has always had a passion for pimento cheese. Growing up in Rome Georgia she remembers her godmother’s sacred pimento cheese recipe. It was passed down but Woofie misplaced it after her godmother died. She spent years making small home batches to recreate the recipe. Once she found the perfect mix she took it to the restaurant. After some time, the cheese became so popular that she and her daughters started Pawleys Island Gourmet Snacks to produce and distribute their pimiento cheese. Today it can be found in Foodlions along the Grand Strand, Lowes in Pawleys and 707, as well specialty markets.
